In-house Dining, Cheryl's dinner-hamper food and beverage service is not to be missed. To the best of our knowledge there are few self contained accommodation businesses in our region that have a registered kitchen and liquor licence that permits the host to prepare fresh hot food for guests that want to stay in to enjoy a romantic dinner with their favourite wine without having to worry about drink driving.

Deposits

For your convenience and booking security, we accept advance bookings for you to ensure that the date you have selected for your special occasion is locked in. Obviously no one else can book the date allocated to you. We require a deposit payment for 50% of the amount of the accommodation be made at the time of booking the accommodation to ensure that the date you selected is confirmed. If payment are to be made by cash, make sur that you allow sufficient time to make the payment as the booking will only be held for 48 hours.

To ensure our bookings run smoothly, and because we are a small business that relies on occupancy, we have a cancellation policy which regardless of circumstances must be strictly adhered to.

• The Estate's natural spring water invigorates our guests when they relax and soak in their spa baths, the natural minerals in the water make our spas a unique experience for the Dandenong Ranges.

• Local and regional literature is provided and a selection of free movies and music CD's is also available.

• Local walking trail maps - We have walked and explored all of the walking trails so that we can provide specific and relevant advice to guests about the type of walk available and the degree of difficulty to be experienced during those walks.

• Local Markets, we engage with our local government and tourism associations to ensure we maintain an up to date calendar of local markets and other regional events. Guests appreciate being informed about interesting things to see and do and where they are being held.

Last year we completed our building renovation program.
Whilst our 100 year old Country House required attention due to wear and tear, it was equally important for us to have a building that would cope with the demands of our ever increasing business.

Service improvement - Infrastructure

• New dedicated reception area - We provide a warm welcoming professional service.
• Very few B&B's have separate dedicated reception areas because of space restrictions.
• Many operators are forced to greet and process their guests in the family lounge or kitchen.
• Guest laundry - As a result of guest requests, we provided a public laundry facility, which is appreciated by guests who undertake longer stays.
• External phone - As our Estate has poor mobile reception, this facility is offered to enable guests to contact family and friends.
• New Kitchen - Our increased dinner hamper business could not be sustained without a very efficient kitchen and food preparation area.
• New manager's apartment - We redesigned the previous floor space arrangements to provide separation between business and home for the resident owner or manager.

Service improvement - Guest Experience

• Our public online booking facility is a new and a mature innovation because the majority of accommodation providers do not wish to have their bookings disclosed to their competitors.
