Art Exhibition
This year we will further enhance our visitor experience by our soon to be opened small boutique art gallery.
The gallery will feature photography, small pieces of pottery and some jewelry.
It is not intended that our gallery will be open to the general public, our intention is to cater for our guests and other visitors by special arrangement.
We will also feature many of the original works in the cottages and apartments which will enable guests to purchase direct from the cottage, online through the website or at reception.
Selected local artists will also be invited to exhibit their work to complement the inaugural photography exhibition Karl has been preparing for some time.
Karl has lived in the Dandenong Ranges for the past 12 years, but cannot find local artists exhibiting artwork that directly reflects or is "The Dandenongs"
He has spent the past year putting together this collection of Dandenong Ranges images.
Photographing "Victoriana Landscapes " has also been a passion over the past decade, the gallery will feature a selection that depicts the country as it was back in the 1900's.
We trust that you will enjoy seeing this work and take something back with you as a memento of this wonderful region.
This year Karl entered his first National photo competition.
VAPS - 36th National Exhibition of Photography 2005
Submitting four entries in the most competitive section of the competition "Open Colour" Karl was rewarded with a third place certificate, a merit certificate as well as a finalist certificate.
He also entered the portrait section with two entries, one of which was awarded a merit certificate.
This was an outstanding result in a national photo competition that included many competitors who were highly regarded professional photographers.
