National Tourism Awards

• The National tourism awards are held annually, in different States each year.

• This year the 2007 awards were held as a Gala black tie evening in February 2008 at the National convention centre in Canberra.

• Some 2000 people from allover Australia attended, and included the Federal and many State Tourism Ministers.

• All State Tourism Winners compete in their individual categories.

• There are in excess of 30 categories in the Tourism Awards program.

The night was a success for Victoria as five businesses including Monreale were Winners on the night.

Unlike the State Tourism Awards, which are exciting to competitors who become finalists or Winners, the Nationals are something totally different.

When you arrive on the evening, it really sinks in that "at the Nationals" you are competing against six other businesses that are the best in their respective States.

The very evident fact is that each State Winner could be a worthy national winner, the difference between any winner and the remainder must be extremely close.

So, we the owners and staff at Monreale are very pleased to have won this significant award, and can assure you our guest, that we continue to strive to improve not only our facility, but our service and experience so that we continue to be the best in Australia.
